Rock Hill, South Carolina - Mrs. Marsha Kaye Wells, 73, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC with Reverend Rick Martin officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive family and friends at their home.
Born in Rock Hill, Mrs. Wells was the daughter of the late Worth Franklin Ballard and the late Effie Mae Fish Ballard. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie Wayne Wells; brothers, Dewey and Joe Ballard; a sister, Sandra B. Walker. She was employed for many years with F Schumacher Company and York County Tax Accessors Office. She was a former member of Central Baptist Church of York.
Mrs. Wells is survived by her daughter, Rachel (Scott) Logue of Fort Mill, SC; two granddaughters, Megan Logue and Katie (Jimmy) L. Doyle; two great-grand-children, Savannah and Charlie Espinoza; her sisters, Janice Bigham and Doris Burris both of Rock Hill; many beloved nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Marsha Wells's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959, or ASPCA, PO Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929.
