In Memory

Rickie Jo Ballard

5/27/2014 Tribute to Joe Ballard:

Joe and I met in the third grade at Ebenezer Avenue School, we were very close friends, always together, never had a cross word between us all through the years, we were just friends forever. Joe and I went different ways after H.S., Joe joined the Army, I went to school. We picked up as friends again, Joe decided he wanted to join the National Guard to pick up some extra cash. He told me before he left for the 2-weeks training, he was going to do tank training, he wasn't happy about it and wanted a change. It didn't happen. The good do die young and I lost a friend, a picture of Joe is in our junior class, Jackie Kimbrell     (See article below)  Thanks, Jackie for sending this article in and sharing your memories of Joe.
