Ronald Bell

 

ROCK HILL - Mr. George Ronald "Ronnie" Bell, 61, of Rock Hill passed away Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at the Piedmont Medical Center.

A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Bell was the son of the late George E. Bell and the late Cleona Boatwright Bell. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and employed with Bank of America as a programer. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army. An avid golfer and league bowler, he was known for his BBQ and homemade ice cream. Mr. Bell was an amazing and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be remembered as a hardworking generous man who loved God and his family.

A memorial service for Mr. Bell will be 3 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 6, at Epworth United Methodist Church, 620 Briarcliff Road, Rock Hill, with the Rev. Mike Catoe officiating. Burial will be private.

Mr. Bell is survived by his wife, Debra Chappell Bell; his sons, Shane Bell (Paige) and Joshua Bell (Lisa), all of Rock Hill; his daughter, Ronna Bell of Piscataway, N.J.; his brother, Frankie Bell (Susie) of Rock Hill; his sister, Linda Sullivan (Benny) of Rock Hill; his mother-in-law, Ethel Chappell of Rock Hill; and his grandchildren, Sterling Bell, Garrett Bell, Jacob Wallace, Noah Bell, and Tobyas Baxter.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.,, Saturday, Feb. 5, at Epworth United Methodist Church and other times at the home.

Memorials may be made to Epworth United Methodist Church, 620 Briarcliff Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel is serving the Bell family.

Ronnie Bell, a good friend and always was friendly . I think of seeing you at the reunions and you were always the same good natured person everytime we meet. Rest in peace and may God smile on your Family.
