He was born to Cecil and Hazel Carter on March 10,1949. He had retired from Freightliner in Mount Holly, NC. His favorite hobby was going over to Miss Faye’s auction on the weekend and collecting coins. He love car racing.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Sheryl Carter and two stepchildren, Sheri Rodriguez(Henry) and Danny (Jessica) and 3 grandchildren. He is also survived by his beloved sisters, Cissi (Horton) and Betsy(Jeff) Miller and a beloved niece, Ashley(Charles) and little Jackson Foxx. The family will receive guests in the recreation hall.

A graveside service for Richard will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Neely's Creek ARP Church Cemetery, 974 Neely Creek Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730. The family will receive guests in the recreation hall.
