Kemp Ferguson

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - William Kemp Ferguson, 60, of Virginia Beach, Va., died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008 peacefully in his home surrounded by his family. Known to his friends and family as Kemp "the miracle man" Ferguson. Kemp fought a hard fight and eventually lost his battle to cancer. Kemp was a United States veteran and an avid golf and pool player. Kemp's first love was for his family. Kemp was a loving husband, father, brother and son to Elizabeth and Cole Ferguson.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 22 years Sally; his two children, Kemp Jr. and Coleman. He also is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Vicki Ferguson; his sister and brother-in-law, Doug and Beth Edwards; and 12 nieces and nephews. Kemp was a wonderful, loving and easy going man who will be forever missed. We would like to especially thank the VA Veterans Hospital and Odyssey Home Health Care for their care and support. Funeral services will be held today at 1 p.m. at Virginia Beach Freewill Baptist Church, 210 S. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach. Viewing will be from noon to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. Freedom Funeral Service in charge.
