Fort Mill, SC – Mr. William Steven Holler, Jr., 70, passed away Saturday, at Atrium Health-Pineville in Charlotte, NC.

Mr. Holler was born in Rock Hill, SC, the son of the late William Steven Holler, Sr. and the late Mary McAfee Holler. In addition to his parents, Mr. Holler was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Holler.

William graduated from Rock Hill High School in  1967. He attended USC in Columbia in the Chemical Engineering program, graduated from Piedmont Technical College in Charlotte and graduated from UNC Charlotte with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a South Carolina licensed home builder and Real Estate broker.

As a conservative Democrat, William ran for the 5th district  US congressional seat in SC in the 1976 election after serving as a precinct manager and county and state delegate to a variety of democratic conventions and ran for governor in 1994.  William and Rachel Holler is currently active member of the York Republican Party.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC with visitation to follow the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Holler is survived by his wife, Rachel M. Holler; his sons, William Steven Holler, III and Steven L. Holler; and his daughters, Alexis Holler and Brittany Orshal.
