Rock Hill- Mr. Robert Wayne Hunter, 69 passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at his home.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 2:00-3:30 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill.
Born in Rock Hill, Mr. Hunter was a son of the late Claude Julius Hunter and the late Marian Olivia Hood Hunter. He was employed for over 30 years with Sid’s Tire.
Surviving are his son, Franklin Robert Hunter (Ann) of Rock Hill; his daughter, Elyn Mishele Hunter of Rock Hill; his brother, Claude Hunter (Peggy) of Rock Hill; and five grandchildren, Jareth, Kyler, Nathan, Caspian and Caroline.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Hunter’s name to Park Baptist Church, 717 East Main Street, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
Bobby was my best friend ever since the 12th grade. He was in my 3rd. period class and sat behind me. One day while going to class I saw him trying to carry his books while on crutches and he wasn't doing a very good job of it. Bobby kept dropping them so I asked him if he wanted me to carry his books for him and he immediately said thank you. I knew Bobby would never make it up the stairs going the way he was. Every since then we have been good friends doing things together and he working on my car while there at Sid's. Of course as people get older and other things happening in your life you don't see each other as often. But we stayed in touch, often calling each other on the phone. I am really going to miss those phone calls with Bobby or even riding down to see him. God rest your soul Bobby and remember to keep it in between the lines. And when I get to Heaven remember to have a mirror on your sun visor for me............ Rick
