Mrs. Mary (Bunny) Roofe Matthews, 68 passed away Friday, April 15, 2016 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. Services for Bunny will be 2:00 PM, Monday, April 18, 2016 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road with Rev. Jerry Devinney officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park - Hollis Lakes. Bunny was born in Chester, SC and the daughter of the late Jennings F. and Mary Lynn Roofe. She was a member of Rawlinson Road Baptist Church and a home maker. She was a former Paralegal working for several lawyers in Rock Hill. Bunny is survived by her husband 41years, Dennis W. Matthews; her daughters, Jackie Matthews (Jerry) and Lisa Waters (David) all of Rock Hill; her son, Ashley Matthews (Kristi) of Rock Hill; her step-son, Gregory Matthews, Burlington, NC; her sister, Judith "Lynn" Totherow (Bill) of Rock Hill; her brother, Jennings "Skip" Franklin Melton, of Panama City, Fl; her special aunt whom was more like a sister, Betty Wright (Keith), Rock Hill; her two grandchildren, Bailey Parrish and Joey Green (Tiffany); her three great- grandchildren, Kalli, Landyn, and Elaina; and a number of nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 4:30 PM, Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel and other times at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and David Waters, 837 Rush Court, Rock Hill, SC.Memorials may be made to Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731.Condolences may be made at www.greenefuneralhome.net.
