ROCK HILL - Mr. T. Michael Wallace, 61, of Charlotte, died June 29, 2011.

He was born October 7, 1949, in Rock Hill, S.C., son to Joe and Genevieve Dease Wallace. He graduated from Clemson University and was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, having served during the Vietnam War. A twenty-year employee and Vice President of Booner Vacuum Pumps, he retired from KSB Pumps of Richmond, Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth L. Wallace, and a sister, Peggy Poston.

A loving and caring husband and dad, he is survived by his wife of 30 years, Marilyn; son, Richard Kevin Wallace of Charlotte; daughters, Leah Fetterman of Rock Hill, S.C., and Angela Banks of Charlotte; and a sister, Freida Hodges and her husband, B. A.; also surviving are five granddaughters; two grandsons; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2011, at Heritage Funeral Home, Weddington Chapel, 3700 Forest Lawn Drive, Matthews.

I am sorry to hear about Mike passing but I didn't know anything about it until just now when I read it on here. I use to work with Mike for a while at Vooner Vacuum Pumps; that was the name of it and not Booner. He use to say that one of his favorite songs was My Woman From Tokyo !! Rick Carter
