Susan Simpson
December 21, 1948 - February 7, 2022
Rock Hill, South Carolina - Susan Jones Simpson - 12/21/1948 – 2/7/2022, passed away peacefully at Piedmont Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was the daughter of Erskine and Rachel Robinson Jones and a Rock Hill graduate. Susan was a retired cafeteria worker for the Rock Hill School District.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Michael Jones. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Joe Simpson. She is also survived by her children, Scott Jamieson (Jami) of Jackson, MI; Gwyne Simpson of Lincolnton, NC; and Brandon Simpson of the home. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Shelby Martin (Troy) and Cole Jamieson (Michaela) of Jackson, MI; and numerous extended family members.
Susan was an avid Carolina Gamecocks fan, loved going for rides in the country, and loved her sweet tea.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Adnah UMC with the Reverend David McManus officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church's family life center following a short graveside service.
