Charlotte - The funeral for Miss Laura Frances Anderson; of 12-A Brentwood Apts who died at Carolinas Medical Center, will be Saturday at the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour in Rock Hill, with the Rev. Blaney Pridge officiating. Burial will be private. Miss Anderson was employed by Raretype Typesetting as a graphic artist. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour, the Sierra Club and the Carolina Berg Wanders Hiking Club. She was a noted artist and former winner of Springs Art Show. Her works were shown at Spirit Square. She was an avid hiker and photographer and a 1970 graduate of the University of South Carolina. She earned her master's degree from E. Tennessee State University in 1974. Surviving are her parents, Eugene A. and Eva E. Anderson of York; three brothers Edward E. Anderson and David P. Anderson both of Rock Hill, and Curtis A. Anderson of Japan; and two sisters, Linda K. Maynor of Rock Hill and Susan Gallow of Jefferson. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to the Sierra Club, 6614 Lynn Ave. Charlotte, NC 28226. Greene Funeral Home of Rock Hill is in charge.

The Anderson family was a friend of mine. If you were friends with one, you were friends with all. Laura was a quiet, sweet natured, very talented person. I think of her often and know that her absence leaves a big hole in the heart of her family.
