Cathy Beckham (Pittman)

Cathy Pittman FORT MILL - Ms. Cathy Anne Pittman, 65, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, September 12, 2014. A service to celebrate her life will be 6:00 PM Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at the Shield of Faith Family Church, 2499 Firetower Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730, with Pastor Larry Soles, officiating. Cathy, a native of Rock Hill, was the daughter of the late Calvin H. and Annie Braswell Beckham. She was adventurous and loved to travel, anywhere with a beach was her usual destination. She enjoyed laughing, football, dancing and music. She, especially loved beach music which stems from her childhood trips to the beach, where she and her sisters would go shagging at the OD pavilion. She always had a beautiful smile on her heavenly face. One of the most tenderhearted, devoted, tenacious people one would ever meet. She was driven by her unshakable, amazing faith; unquestionably she was a fighter until the end. She was one of a kind. Ms. Pittman was an extraordinary mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. The only thing she loved more than her family was her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She made a lasting imprint on this earth that will never be forgotten. Surviving are her daughters, Candice Pittman, Amanda Beckham AuKamp and husband, Steve; two sisters, Mary G. Vahle and husband, Joe and Billie B. Childers and husband Curtis; one grandson, Logan Stanley AuKamp ,a.k.a. "Bubbi"; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Steve Beckham and three sisters, Susan Beckham, Derry Becker and Nancy Beckham. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 6:00pm prior to the service the church.

Cathy was about the sweetest soul I've ever known.  I knew her briefly in High School but got to know her better when we worked together at Homelite.  She was an amazing, strong, fearless person with a heart of gold and the faith of a saint.   RIP Cathy, I was truly blessed to have known you.   Donna
