Robert Mallaney

Bob Mallaney ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mr. Robert "Bob" Mallaney, died December 14, 2014, in West Jefferson, N.C. Bob is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Boulware Mallaney, his bro-ther and sister-in-law, Mike and Yvonne Mallaney and sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Eddie Hammond. He also leaves behind eight nieces and nephews and twelve grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Florence and John Mallaney and his brothers and sister-in-law, Brian and Jayne Mallaney. Bob graduated from Rock Hill High School in 1967 and went to Clemson University. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and later graduated with honors from Limestone College. Bob worked for Duke Power and the Benson Morgan Company in Rock Hill. He went on to work in the Scientific Equipment industry as Product Management and Director of Sales for several companies before retiring in 2013. Locally, Bob volunteered with the Rock Hill Little Theater. He was on the Rock Hill Planning Commission, serving as Chair for 13 years. He also served on the City of Rock Hill Zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals. Visitation will be from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel Saturday, December 20, 2014. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Boykin Spaniel Rescue Society or to any animal rescue organization, the Childrens Attention Home, P.O. Box 2912, Rock Hill, SC 29732, or to the charity of one’s choice
