The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm-7:00 pm on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 23, 2026 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with Rev. Steve Hogg and Rev. Emily Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road, 620 S. Cherry Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
Born in Rock Hill, SC, Stanley was the son of the late Carl Brandon Robinson and the late Doris Jordan Robinson. He was predeceased by Marcia Robinson, his wife of 52 years at her time of passing in 2023. His brother, Michael Robinson also preceded him in death.
Stanley was retired from Comporium Communications with 39 ½ years of service – that extra half of a year was important to Stanley and he was sure to include that when he talked to others about his work. He retired in December of 2010. Stanley was a member of the Rock Hill High School Class of 1967 and then attended USC-Lancaster. He also proudly served as a member of the National Guard. Stanley enjoyed all music, but especially Southern Rock and Beach Music. He loved entertaining others playing his harmonica. Stanley was a huge fan of the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Carolina Panthers. He was a longtime member of Bethel United Methodist Church and was proud to be a native of Rock Hill.
Stanley’s family happily recalls his battle with the thermostat in his home. His ideal temperature was 78, but when family visited, he would find a compromise at 74 degrees. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are his daughter, Jenny Blue (Andy) of Rock Hill, SC; his son, Scott Robinson (Mary-Ashley); his grandchildren, Haiden Robinson, Mason Robinson, Lana Blue, and Caleb Blue; his sister-in-law, Janet Robinson; his nieces, Carly Robinson Moore (Chadwick) and Shelly Degnan (Jesse); and his great-nieces, Aida and Jovie Degnan.
