Catherine Ann (Stevens) Rainer was born on September 8, 1948 in Rock Hill, South Carolina to Mother, Marjorie (Ennis) Stevens, and Father, Willis Stevens. She departed this life on Thursday, November 23, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Rainer, whom she married on June 8th, 1969.

Cathy is survived by two daughters, Tammy Holcomb (Kenny) and Paige Collins (Junior); three grandchildren, Matthew Holcomb (Gabrielle), Will Holcomb (Samantha) and Mallory Collins; one great grandchild, Preston Holcomb; as well as her loving cousin Ann Lister and a host of nieces and nephews.
Cathy graduated from Rock Hill High School in 1967. 

She was a faithful Christian woman and maintained special friendships with many members of her church.

She enjoyed spending time with family and loved to cook, cross stitch and visit the beach. She was a long-time fan of the University of South Carolina Gamecocks. 

After raising her family, she was employed as a door greeter at Walmart for nearly 10 years. 

An Open House in Cathy’s honor will be held for remembrances on Sunday, November 26th from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Tammy and Kenny Holcomb’s home. 

Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, November 29th at Hopewell Presbyterian Church, 1571 S. Anderson Road, Rock Hill, with family receiving visitors beginning at 11:30 a.m. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hopewell Presbyterian Church.
