Elliott “Ed” J. Collins, Jr., 61, of Greenville, loving husband of Hilda Gibson Collins for 41 years, died April 10, 2011.
Born in Rock Hill, he was the son of the late Elliott J. Collins, Sr. and Polly Collins.
Ed served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was the former owner of “Ed’s GT’s” on White Horse Road.
In addition to his wife, Hilda, he is survived by three children, Cynthia Hopkins and husband, Mark, Mark Collins and wife, Angie, and Renee Collins, all of Greenville; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by one sister.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 13, 2011, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2011, at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
The family will be at the residence.
