Gail McFadden Wilkins, 65, of York, SC, was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven Saturday, January 31, 2015. Ms. Wilkins was born in Rock Hill, SC, September 3, 1949. She was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and York Technical College. She worked for Shaw Furniture in Rock Hill, SC for most of her career as a credit manager and interior decorator. After leaving Shaw Furniture, she worked for Industrial Engines & Equipment in Pineville, NC. Ms. Wilkins retired as a credit manager from Wrenn Handling, Charlotte, NC. Later in her life, Ms. Wilkins founded Cambridge Dove Ministries to share the love of Jesus Christ with others.

Ms. Wilkins was a beloved Mama, Mammie, and Mimi. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Stewart McFadden Jr. and Pauline “Boots” Collins McFadden Frostick, her brother Ronnie McFadden, and her sister Mary “Snooky” Cloer. Ms. Wilkins is survived by her children, Dawn M. Mead of York, SC, Lori Wilkins Sims (David) of Lancaster, SC, and Courtney G. Simon (Ron) of Rock Hill, SC; eight grandchildren, Seralysa White (Kenneth) and Jacob K.C. McFadden of York, SC, Kailyn Mead of Hamlet, NC, and Avery Sims, Branson Sims, Mason Sims, Ethan Sims and Jackson Shrum of Lancaster, SC; a great granddaughter, Mackenzie E. Kimbrell of York, SC; a niece, Amanda Hughes of Lenoir,NC; nephews Jason McFadden of Rock Hill, SC, Josh McFadden of York, SC, Chris McFadden of Charleston, SC, and George Cloer of Lenoir, NC.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Ms. Wilkins will be held at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 12 p.m. officiated by Pastor Bob Sprinkle with family visitation following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Temple Presbyterian Church, 1105 N Beersheba Rd, Clover, SC 29710.
