Danny Bagley

Rock Hill, SC – Danny Ray Bagley, 74, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Piedmont Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2020 at Providence Baptist Church, 1947 Old Friendship Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730, with Reverend Doctor Jim Neal officiating. The family will receive friends after the service. Burial will be private at Fort Jackson Military Cemetery, Columbia, at a later date.

Born in Rock Hill, Mr. Bagley was the son of the late Malcom Cleo Bagley and the late Lila Odom Bagley. He was retired from the US Army with 22 years of service.  He was a graduate of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church.

Mr. Bagley is survived by his wife, Wanda A Bowden Bagley; his brother, William Preston (Norma) Bagley of Kansas City, KS; his son, Daniel Rogers of Rock Hill; his four daughters, Angela Bagley and Michelle Williams both of MO, Kathy Brown and Kristine Carpenter both of Rock Hill; his 16 grandchildren; his two great-grandchildren, Bethany and Quinnlee.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Danny R. Bagley’s name to Providence Baptist Church, 1947 Old Friendship Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Danny was a great guy. You will never find a nicer person than Danny. RIP Danny Bagley.

Thanks for your post Wayne.  Danny and I played on the Tennis Team together.  I'm sorry that I lost contact with him after High School.  He was super nice.  RIP

I agree with Wayne, Danny was a really nice guy. Danny and I shared some fun times in high school, particularly in Mrs. Broome's Spanish class. After high school, I lost contact with Danny until a couple of years prior to our 50th reunion. Danny was working security at Bi-Lo where we reconnected several times. He was still as nice, funny and friendly as he was in high school and I really enjoyed our many extensive conversations, which was always in English. I guess he didn't get anymore out of Mrs Broome's class than I did.
